Basic income causes a lot of stir. Does this guaranteed benefit, paid out each month to every citizen for satisfying their basic needs, promote indolence? Does it threaten the traditional family? Its critics think that benefits paid regardless of whether one works or not are bad for the morale. Then why do many European countries experiment with this model? Are there other methods of increasing income security? And the obvious afterthought: can we afford it? This and other questions will be answered by our guests.
