Millennium Bank Award - Grand Prix
This year 14 films compete in the main competition Millenium Docs Against Gravity Film Festival for the Millennium Award and 8 000 euros. The jury, consisting of:Agnieszka Traczewska, Mariusz Grzegorek, Jan P. Matuszyński will select the winning film. The award is funded by Millennium Bank.
Agnieszka Traczewska – a film producer and a photographer. The owner of the Largo Film Studio. Graduated from theatrology at the Jagiellonian University, worked as a culture manager. In 1989 in Krakow she set up the Largo Film Studio.
Mariusz Grzegorzek – film, theatre and television director, scenographer, script writer, graphic artist, producer. Graduate of the Directing Faculty at the Film School in Lodz, and since 1989 its lecturer and art supervisor of students’ etudes. Its rector since 2012. As a theatre director he works mainly for the Stefan Jaracz Theatre in Lodz. He directed diploma exam performances of students of the Acting Facutly at the Lodz Film School and televised plays. Member of the Polish Film Academy and the European Film Academy.
Jan P. Matuszyński – born in 1984. Graduate of the Radio and Television Faculty of the University of Silesia in Katowice nad the documentary program in Wajda Film School. His documentary “Deep Love” was awarded, among others, with the Silver Lajkonik at the Krakow Film Festival and the award for best documentary at the Moscow IFF. “The Last Family” is his feature debut, for which he was awarded at such festivals as Gdynia FF, Camerimage in Bydgoszcz, Chicago FF and Paris FF.
