On one hand, there is a justified belief that the Western Man was never as free as nowadays. On the other hand, films like “Free Speech Fear Free” show us the danger of total control of our lives. Are we not already living in a matrix, fed with illusions about our freedom? And if so, how to wake up from it? Amnesty International campaigns to stop the danger of mass invigilation. Personal data may be used, for example, to persecute journalists and activists, to profile and discriminate minorities, to supress freedom of speech. During the debate, together with the director and guests, we will think about those problems and how not to easily let others take our freedom.
