Piotr Szczepański
born in 1975. He graduated from the Cinematography Department of the Polish National Filmschool in Łódź. Works as a DOP and directs films of his own.
His work includes:
“Dzień Świra” (Day of the Wacko) by Marek Koterski as camera operator
“Sesja castingowa” (Audition) by Krzysztof Zanussi as DOP
“Miłość” (Loving) by Sławomir Fabicki as DOP.
His directing credits include:
“C.K.O.D. Generation” awarded the Grand Prix at the Kraków Film Festival in 2004
“Aleja Gówniarzy” (Absolute Beginner) awarded at Gdynia Film Festival in 2007
“C.K.O.D.2 – Evacuation Plan” awarded at Planete Doc Review in 2013.
In 2016 he finished work on two documentaries:
“Łódź 2000-infinity” a seven years in the making film about a huge rebuilding project of the post-industrial center of Łódź inspired by David Lynch and Camerimage Film Festival.
“DOM/Łódź” a two years sociological observation of a group of artists and rock musicians who created a pub in the downtown of Łódź.
