The winner of BYDGOSZCZ ART/DOC AWARD has been announced
The BYDGOSZCZ ART/DOC AWARD in the main competition of 14th Millenium Docs Against Gravity Film Festival’s Bydgoszcz edition was presented on Sunday, 21st May at Kino Orzeł in the Municipal Centre of Culture. The award, which amounts to Euro 1,500 as well as the statuette will go to the author of “Last Men in Aleppo” (dir. Feras Fayyad).
“For a unique and personal character of the film which provokes strong emotion, for ‘freeing the minds’ fronm a temporary view as well as journalistic oversimplifications, for consequence and skilful production” – says the justification of the jury members’ (Magdalena Wichrowska, Marcin Sauter and Artur Owczarczak) decision.
The Bydgoszcz ART/DOC Award was granted for the first time in the history of Millennium Docs Against Gravity Film Festival. The event is co-financed by The Municipal Office of Bydgoszcz and Kujawsko-Pomorskie Region. The WSB Universities in Bydgoszcz are the festival’s local strategic partner.
